Continuosly Changing

Besikeičiantys (Continuously Changing), a landscape arrangement by the artist Gintaras Karosas often surprises visitors, making them wonder.

The piece of work consists of many small structures covered with roofs carefully arranged from… firewood. This explains the title – The Shifting – because this piece of work can shift as the firewood is put to use and then gets replaced with a new stack.

The arrangement fits into the surroundings perfectly: the tiny ‘houses’ sit in cosy rows in the shade of the trees. The Shifting creates a peculiar, lovely, somewhat fabulous mood at Europos Parkas.
