Planning this work, I started from looking into Lithuania and its history. I did not aim to convey the harsh trials of the past or the modern life. I was impressed by the natural environment and the powerful energy of the people, fighting for the future. I was seeking to create the sculpture, surrounded by warmth and light as a rising bird.“
