About the artwork
The idea of the sculpture emerged while the author was exploring her family history, reflecting on the tragedies of the World War II and Soviet occupation. The author asks: „are we able to heal the wounds of our history?“ J. Goldner’s sculpture is a metal book of five pages, which can be read like a real book – turning the pages strung on cramp.
